Shelby Township, Michigan, became the scene of an early morning shooting on Friday when a residence within the Dequindre Estates mobile home park was hit by multiple gunshots. According to New Media Detroit, the incident was promptly reported to authorities around 6:30 a.m. by the residence's occupants. The suspected shooter had vacated the area before police arrived at the scene.
Adding to the unfolding events, FOX 2 Detroit disclosed that the home suffered numerous impacts from the gunfire. While a comprehensive investigation is ongoing, local police have taken a person into custody relating to the case. The capture came after the involved vehicle was traced to an unoccupied location in a St. Clair Shores parking lot.
Further developments in the investigation noted that detectives managed to glean information on both suspect and vehicle, enabling them to make the crucial arrest. CBS News reported that the suspect was apprehended "when they returned to the vehicle" without incident.
