Community members in El Dorado County looking to spread some holiday cheer are in luck this December. The CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit is hosting its Annual Christmas Open House & Fundraiser at AEU Station 43, benefiting the New Morning Youth & Family Services. According to their social media post, the event is penciled in for December 13-14 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at El Dorado Station 43.
Aimed at supporting local youth, visitors can expect a plethora of activities including a raffle with great prizes and a special visit from Santa Claus. Along with a homemade BBQ lunch, hot cocoa, and coffee, the fundraiser will sweeten the deal with treats. The event also features a pet adoption area, warming the hearts of animal lovers and future pet parents alike.
For those who wish to contribute but cannot attend, Station 43 has made accommodation. The station welcomes donations of unwrapped toys or monetary contributions for gift cards, and these items will be delivered to children at the shelter the following weekend. Generosity can find its place at the designated donation area in front of the station at any time if the dates of the event do not align with your schedule.
