According to a recent social media post by the Elk Grove Police Department, participants can expect to see officers marching "alongside our Jeeps" near the end of the parade, where they will be collecting toy donations from the crowd.
The department's post encouraged community members to join in the festivities and support the cause. However, the post playfully deflected any potential criticism of the parade routes, noting, "And before you come at us about the parade routes," "Fire picks them and they rotate them yearly."
