As the holiday season rolls in with its festive cheer, the City of Englewood is ensuring residents are well-informed about the operational hours of their community recreation centers. The Englewood and Malley Recreation Centers have announced their schedules during these times of celebration and quietude. Both facilities will allow the community to enjoy their services for limited hours on the eve of Christmas and New Year, with doors opening at Englewood from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., and at Malley from 8 a.m. to also close at 1 p.m.
Nonetheless, to respect the essence of the holidays, the centers will be taking a break to fully observe both Christmas and New Year's Day, remaining closed on December 25 and January 1. This closure ensures that staff and community members alike can spend time with their loved ones. It should be noted that there will also be no VOA Lunch services on December 24, 25, and 31, and on January 1, echoing a pause in routine to embrace the seasonal festivities.
