In Rocklin, Officers Howe and Flanders, working overtime on a DUI grant, stopped a car with expired registration tags. A records check revealed active warrants for the owner, leading to more than traffic citations.
Officers searched the vehicle and found a loaded firearm, illegal drugs, narcotic paraphernalia, items used for identity theft, burglary tools, and other evidence of criminal activity, according to a Rocklin Police Department social media post. The haul indicates offenses beyond expired registration and potential DUI.
The driver was arrested on multiple charges and booked into Placer County Jail. The arrest reflects local law enforcement’s commitment to addressing illegal activity as part of a grant-funded initiative to reduce DUI-related offenses.
