A Fairfield man is facing serious charges following a multi-agency operation to serve a search warrant at his residence on Tuesday morning, where detectives uncovered evidence of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The Solano County Sheriff’s Office, joined by the Sheriff’s Enforcement Team, Vacaville PD, and Benicia PD, descended on the 2000 block of Fairfield Avenue around 7:00 a.m. on Monday, as part of an ongoing investigation.
The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Matthew Rios, was apprehended at the scene, according to an official social media post by the Solano County Sheriff's Office. The post detailed the discovery of multiple electronic devices in Rios' residence, which will necessitate a forensic examination. He now sits in the Solano County Justice Center Detention Facility on a $25,000 bail, facing a felony charge for possession of CSAM.
