The Fairfield Police Department reported a swift resolution to a vehicle theft that occurred on Sunday. According to the Fairfield Police Department's social media post, police were called to the scene of the crime at 8:44 PM, and within an impressive 11 minutes, they managed to apprehend the suspect, thanks in part to the quick thinking of two officers.

The initial response saw Officer Scherer connecting with the vehicle's owner and broadcasting a description of the vehicle, along with its last known GPS location. Officer Ray, who was not yet on duty at the time, responded to the call and located the stolen car at Allen Witt Park, finding the thief still inside.

Upon the arrival of additional officers at the scene, the suspect, identified as Kevin Winn, was taken into custody without any incident. Winn was found to not only be involved in the recent theft but was also wanted on a standing warrant and was on probation within Solano County.

Winn was subsequently transported to the County Jail, facing charges related to the vehicle theft and his previous warrant.
