Fernandina Beach will host a weekend of family-friendly holiday activities, highlighted by the Annual Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday, starting at 6:00 p.m. According to the Fernandina Beach Police Department Facebook post, the event will be organized by America’s Youth and follow the traditional parade route.
The parade invites residents to watch floats and performers as they move along the streets, creating a display of lights in the evening. After the procession, celebrations will continue at Central Park with Santa’s Event. The Fernandina Beach Police Department reminded attendees to stay safe and alert during the nighttime event, especially with the expected increase in pedestrians and children.
Authorities are advising residents to drive carefully due to increased traffic and possible parking challenges during the parade.
