Local fire departments responded to a structure fire near Buffalo Shoals Road and Shuford Road. According to the North 321 Fire Department Facebook post, crews were dispatched around 5:46 p.m. to a fire involving a large outbuilding.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading beyond the structure. Pumpkin Center Fire Department was added to the response to assist on scene.
Units responding included North 321 Engine 100, 101, 103, and 104, along with Car 101 and Car 102. Lincolnton Fire Department also responded with Battalion 1, Engine 1, Ladder 1, Engine 2, and Squad 4 after determining the fire was located within the North 321 district. Pumpkin Center responded with Tanker 113 and Engine 112.
Lincoln County EMS and the Lincoln County Fire Marshal’s Office were on scene. The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
