Chad Edward Walker, 24, from Flint, Michigan, will face a jury on six felony charges. The charges relate to firearm modifications and drug possession. Authorities intercepted firearm conversion kits addressed to him at a mail branch in O'Hare International Airport, according to CBS News Detroit.

Authorities intercepted packages shipped from China to Walker's address that were falsely declared as "racing car assembly toys," as reported by Mlive. The packages contained devices meant to convert semiautomatic weapons into fully automatic firearms. Walker was charged with multiple felonies, including receiving and concealing a stolen firearm and possession of methamphetamine. Police also found a stolen Glock pistol and methamphetamine pills at his residence, on top of his refrigerator.

The Genesee County Prosecutor's Office said Walker's trial will start on March 7, 2026, at the Genesee County Circuit Court. Prosecutor Leyton said the case is serious due to the charges. The Flint Area Narcotics Group monitored the delivery of illegal firearm conversion kits to Walker's home, leading to a search that found the kits, including one in the attic, and other evidence of criminal activity, as per ABC12. The trial will cover the import and modification of firearms and narcotics distribution.
