Last Tuesday at around 3:00 a.m., Folsom Police stopped a vehicle near Avalanche Way and Snowy Peak Court linked to previous mail thefts. Inside, officers found stolen mail, skeleton keys, open alcohol containers, and drug paraphernalia, leading to the arrest of Julie Lee, 41, of Rancho Cordova; Jenny Xiong, 42, of Yuba City; and the citation of Susan Vang, who was released due to a medical condition, as reported by the Folsom Police Department.
The suspects now face charges including identity theft, possession of burglary tools, and criminal conspiracy. Folsom Police urge residents to protect their mail by retrieving it promptly, arranging for package deliveries when someone is home, and reporting suspicious activity, as stated by the Folsom Police Department.
According to the Folsom Police Department on their Facebook page, residents are advised to prevent mail and package theft by using secure delivery options, placing a mail hold through USPS, or having a trusted neighbor collect items. They also urge reporting any suspicious activity to the police.
