Fort Collins' Parking Services is gearing up for a short hiatus and a change of scenery, as they prepare for the relocation of the department to a spankin' new office. Heads up, locals, the current location will be closing its doors on Thursday, Dec. 4 and Friday, Dec. 5. But worry not, come Monday, Dec. 8 at 8 a.m., you'll find their services up and running at 144 N. Mason St., Suite 5. You'd recognize the spot—it's cozied up on the west side of the Civic Center Parking Garage, right at the crossroads of Laporte Avenue and Mason Street.
Convenience is the name of the game with this move; the new office is a mere stone's throw, one block to be exact, from their old grounds at 215 N. Mason St. If you need to swing by, you'll be glad to hear that 15-minute parking will be there for you on the first floor of the Civic Center Parking Garage and some handy temporary signs will be posted to make sure you're not wandering aimlessly. According to information provided by the City of Fort Collins announcement.
Those of you who are fans of the good ol' fashioned drop-off payment will need to redirect your compass – the old payment drop box at 215 N. Mason St. will officially be out of commission come Wednesday, Dec. 3. Don't fret, though; a shiny new drop box awaits at the new office, eagerly accepting check payments from Thursday, Dec. 4.
And for folks dealing with the more cumbersome matter of immobilization devices, they've got you covered—the box to drop off these devices will stay put, keeping its current location snug in the parking lot just north of the old office, at the southwest corner where Maple Street meets Mason Street. So when you're unshackling your vehicle, expect the same routine there, as the City of Fort Collins clarified in their recent news release.
