This program, a collaboration between the City of Fort Worth and The Beck Group, aims to provide local companies with the tools and insights needed to expand within the industry. Interested parties should mark their calendars, though, as the application period ends promptly on December 31, at 11:59 p.m., as per the City of Fort Worth.
Since its inception in 2019, the Beck School of Construction has mentored numerous businesses, seeing its alumni secure a significant $14.28 million in contracts by 2020. The program convenes monthly from January through October, minus a summer hiatus in July. This educational initiative is designed not only to increase business acumen but also to enable participants to be more fierce competitors come bidding time for construction projects.
If your business handles construction or services connected to that area - think demolition, professional painting, flooring, and beyond - and has been established for at least a couple of years with an annual revenue of no less than $75,000, this program might be your next step. The Beck School has a set region in mind, catering to businesses within the Tarrant, Denton, Wise, Johnson, and Parker counties. Plus, a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certification is required, but if you're working to get one, you're still in the game.
