New Caney sisters Jennifer and Daysy Sanchez are turning their sweet side hustle into a full-blown storefront this Sunday, when they host the grand opening of their dessert spot, SweetsporJenni, with a noon to 5 p.m. celebration.
On the menu: mini pancakes, strawberry “Dubai” chocolate cups, drinks, and an assortment of other sweets. Early birds get the extra sugar boost, with giveaways and special offers lined up for customers throughout the afternoon.
According to Community Impact, the sisters shared a Tuesday message laying out the opening-day perks. The outlet reports the first 15 customers will snag a free tote bag filled with goodies, while the first 20 customers will get a free six-count order of mini pancakes with purchase. Every purchase during the grand opening will also enter shoppers into a giveaway.
From pop-ups to a storefront
Before locking in a brick-and-mortar spot, the duo built their name on the local market circuit. H-Town's Pulse listed “sweetsporjenni” as a participating vendor at a Karbach fall festival in October 2024, a sign that the sisters had been cultivating a following ahead of their leap to a physical location.
What to expect at opening
Community Impact notes that SweetsporJenni is located at 23199 FM 1485 in New Caney and marked an earlier opening on Nov. 14. A holiday-weekend crowd and limited freebies mean supplies are expected to go quickly, so organizers recommend showing up earlier in the day if you are aiming for the tote bags and mini-pancake offers.
