Golden Chick has opened a full-menu location inside the store, serving everything from breakfast to late-night chicken. The Humble counter, franchisee Ashley Alam's fourth Golden Chick, began welcoming customers on Dec. 3, according to company materials, adding yet another dining option to an already busy retail strip that has been steadily upgrading this year.
A Dec. 3 news release covered by Community Impact notes that the Humble restaurant offers the full Golden Chick menu and can be accessed through third-party delivery services and mobile ordering platforms. The store is scheduled to operate daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., with breakfast running from 6 to 10:30 a.m., giving early-morning shoppers and late-night regulars plenty of time to get their fix.
Golden Chick's official locations page lists the Humble outpost at 6626 FM 1960 Rd E as "Now Open" and shows directions, photos and online ordering options for catering and pickup. The listing on Golden Chick confirms in-store amenities such as Wi‑Fi, turning the counter into a potential quick lunch office for anyone with a laptop and a craving for fried chicken.
The in-store restaurant is owned and operated by franchisee Ashley Alam, who told What Now that the concept "is a very easy operation" and that strong performance at her earlier locations convinced her to keep growing with the brand. According to the same outlet, the city permit paperwork described roughly 2,150 square feet of renovated space and about $150,000 in privately funded upgrades to build out the new spot inside the Supercenter.

Golden Chick has already been experimenting with serving customers where they shop. The chain launched a Walmart-based location in Midland in late 2024 as part of a pilot aimed at boosting pickup and delivery visibility, Franchising.com reported. Closer to home, the FM 1960 Walmart Supercenter completed a multi-million-dollar renovation earlier this year that refreshed grocery, pharmacy, and service departments and helped clear the way for new food options, according to Community Impact.
