As we gear up for the holiday season, the City of Frisco has announced changes to its operating hours and services during the last week of December 2025 and the beginning of January 2026. According to a notification posted by the City of Frisco, most municipal offices—including Frisco Municipal Court, Frisco Fire Safety Town, and the Central Fire Administrative office—will shut their doors for the Christmas holiday on December 24 to 25. They will also observe closure on New Year's Day, which falls on a Thursday this year.
Frisco residents should note that there will be no curbside trash collection services on both Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Consequently, the service schedule will experience a one-day delay for the remainder of the week. As per the city's statement, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday collections should proceed unaffected by the holiday schedule.
For those planning to visit the Environmental Collection Center and the city’s Environmental Services Offices, the operating hours during the festivities will mimic those of the main municipal facilities. These environmental facilities will be closed on December 24 and 25, and on January 1, with regular hours resuming the following day for each instance. Frisco officials remind the public that dropping off items without an attendant present equates to illegal dumping, encouraging visits only during posted times.
