Berea's blue ranks have added a fresh face from the local gridiron to the streets. Connor Reynolds, a former defensive end for Berea-Midpark High School and recent graduate of the University of Akron Police Academy, has taken the oath to protect and serve the community he calls home. Mayor Cyril Kleem administered the ceremony in October, marking the beginning of what many hope to be a storied career in law enforcement for the young officer.
Reynolds, who grew up in Brook Park, not only tackled opponents on the football field but also tackled his academic pursuits, culminating in his graduation this past August. Despite the new badge, his roots run deep in the Berea community—a place he knows well from his high school days and now aims to give back to. According to a recent announcement by the City of Berea, Reynolds is "excited to be able to serve the community that has meant so much to him."
