Early on Sunday, a single-vehicle crash in Damascus killed 27-year-old Germantown resident Bilcher Ronaldino Huinil Lopez. His gray 2013 Honda Civic left the road, struck a fire hydrant, and rolled over, ejecting him from the vehicle, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
Montgomery County Police and Fire and Rescue responded to the scene at Ridge Road and Kings Valley Road around 4:05 a.m. on Sunday. Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene, and he was the only occupant of the vehicle, as reported by the Montgomery County Police Department.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash involving Lopez. Preliminary evidence suggests loss of vehicle control and possible alcohol involvement, though this has not been confirmed. The investigation may take several weeks.
