The City of Glendale has proudly announced the winners of its Second Annual Winter Decorating Contest. This holiday initiative invited the local community to dazzle their neighborhoods with festive and creative displays. According to the City of Glendale's official news release, residences and businesses throughout the city participated by showing off decorations that ranged from classic holiday themes to elaborate light shows synchronized with music.
Glendale Mayor Ara Najarian expressed his enjoyment of the contest, stating, “This contest is a fun way to celebrate the season, recognize the effort behind these displays, and appreciate the pride residents and businesses take in making Glendale feel festive and welcoming.” The efforts of participants included diverse decorations—from handcrafted art to advanced tech implementations that sought to truly immerse onlookers into a festive experience.
The competition was judged in a two-part process with volunteer judges visiting displays and the Glendale City Council selecting their own honorees through an in-person viewing dubbed the "City Council’s Choice." Homes and businesses were recognized for their unique contributions, dedication to detail, and creativity in turning their properties into winter wonderlands.
Highlighted among the winners for the "City Council’s Choice" were remarkable displays located at 651 W. Doran St., 1524 Hillcrest Ave., and 538 W. California Ave. A home at 318 Roads End St. was honored for its Most Creative and Original Display, while the Best Attention to Detail award was given to the property at 3060 N. Verdugo Rd. The Adana Dance Studio at 1420 W. Kenneth Rd. was acknowledged as the Outstanding Business Wonderland.
In a gesture to express its gratitude, the City thanked all the contest participants for contributing to Glendale’s holiday spirit and fostering a sense of togetherness through their displays.
