Governor Josh Green announced new appointments to several state boards and commissions, naming attorney Moses Kalei Nahonoapiʻilani Haia III and Hawaiʻi Rural Water Association executive director Juanita Reyher-Colon to the Commission on Water Resource Management, both pending Senate confirmation. Green said, "Water is life in Hawaiʻi, and protecting it requires legal rigor and respect for our public trust responsibilities," according to the Office of the Governor.
In agriculture, Jason Moniz was appointed to the Hawaiʻi Board of Agriculture and Biosecurity, bringing experience as a veterinarian, cattle rancher, and public servant. Green stated, "His experience in the field and in public service will help safeguard our agricultural economy and food systems," as reported by the Office of the Governor.
Moya Davenport Gray has been appointed to the Hawaiʻi State Ethics Commission for a four-year term. She has more than 30 years of experience as an attorney and has held several public service and leadership roles. Gov. Josh Green said, “Moya Gray’s career reflects a deep commitment to ethics, transparency and public trust.” Gray will replace outgoing Commissioner Beverley D. Tobias, pending confirmation, as stated by the Office of the Governor.
