The Green Cove Springs City has rolled out its schedule for office closures during the holiday season. According to an announcement on the city’s website, the residents can expect shuttered doors at City Hall on December 24 and 25 in celebration of Christmas, with offices reopening on December 29. The New Year also brings a pause to governmental bustle as City Hall closes again on January 1, 2026, resuming its services on January 5.
Waste won't be collected on December 24 and 25, as well as on New Year's Day. However, residents won't have to deal with excess holiday garbage for long, as services are set to resume on the following scheduled day. The city seems cognizant of potential inconveniences and expressed appreciation for residents’ understanding.
The city's announcement published precisely at midnight today, speaks of wishing the community "a festive holiday season filled with joy and celebration."
