Stockton was the site of an alarming confrontation just yesterday when an argument escalated to a point where one man pointed a firearm at another, as per the Stockton Police Department.
On the 3200 Block of Blue Ridge Circle in the Lakeview District, what began as a planned meeting ended with threats of lethal force. A 28-year-old male found himself staring down the barrel of a gun amidst the heated exchange. This altercation, described in a social media post from the Stockton Police Department, fortunately resulted in no physical injuries with both parties parting ways before it could escalate further.
According to the police department's watch commander's day report, the victim was knowingly in the area to meet the suspect. It's unclear what sparked the argument that followed, but the situation rapidly deteriorated. The suspect, a described Black male adult, allegedly pulled a gun and issued a death threat against the male victim. With tensions high, an use of restraint by both individuals helped avoid a potential tragedy.
