A man was shot in the head yesterday at a south Fort Worth strip club, turning a late night at Pandora's Men's Club into a crime scene, according to police. Officers found the wounded man at the club in the 8700 block of South Freeway, and medics took him to a nearby trauma center for treatment.
As reported by the Fort Worth Star‑Telegram, officers were sent to the club after a 911 call and located the injured man inside. Police described the injury as a gunshot wound to the head and, as of the latest update, had not announced any arrests.
Investigation underway
DFW Scanner reports officers were dispatched at about 4:30 a.m., and that detectives from the city’s Gun Violence Unit have been assigned to the case. The outlet also noted the man was transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries and that detectives are actively investigating what led up to the shooting.
Nightlife violence in Fort Worth
The shooting comes amid a series of late night incidents in Fort Worth’s entertainment areas. Earlier this fall, gunfire inside Social LIV in the West 7th district left one person dead and several others injured. Police later arrested a suspect in that case, according to CBS News Texas. City officials have since increased patrols in busy nightlife corridors in response to the recent violence.
How to help
The Fort Worth Police Department is asking anyone with information about the strip club shooting to contact investigators. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and are urging anyone with video or witness information to come forward.
