
This morning in Progress Village, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue teams were dispatched to a residential fire that drew multiple 911 calls at around 8:40 AM. According to a social media post from the agency, smoke was billowing from the rear of a house on S. 84th Street when firefighters arrived on scene.
The post detailed how, "the #bravestofthebay made entry and conducted an interior offensive attack, quickly suppressing the fire and limiting further damage," confirming the strategic approach the firefighters took to contain the blaze.
The cause of the burnt remains a mystery awaiting the careful scrutiny of forensic analysis; the Fire Investigations Unit of the county is currently probing into the origins of this event. The agencies' teams, including Engines 37, 15, 33, and 12, Truck 46, Rescue 1, Battalion Chiefs 8 and 9, Rescue 37, Ambulance 46, and other units were acknowledged for their involvement, along with an investigator and EDC Public Information Officer rounding off the list.
