
Honolulu's Interim Chief Rade Vanic, along with District 8 Command and Community Policing officers, participated in Operation Blue Light Christmas, a charitable event organized by Nānāikapono Church. The event brought together city officials, church volunteers, and law enforcement to distribute nearly 2,000 Christmas gifts to local children and families, as reported by the Honolulu Police Department.
Mayor Blangiardi, Honolulu City Council members, Hawaiʻi State Legislature representatives, and the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney also joined the effort, demonstrating community solidarity. "It is about showing up, giving back, and making a lasting impact where it matters most," said the Honolulu Police Department.
