
Houston authorities are investigating a deadly hit-and-run that occurred on Sunday on the 11900 block of East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10). The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division reported that a red sedan, possibly a Nissan, struck a woman who was crossing the freeway, according to the City of Houston.
After the initial collision, several other vehicles also hit the woman, but she did not die from those impacts. Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene, as reported by the City of Houston.
The identity of the woman has not been released. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Barrow and Officer T. Johnson are investigating a hit-and-run involving a red sedan that left the scene, while other drivers stayed.
