The Houston Police Department is on the lookout for an armed individual following a recent robbery at a Northwest Houston smoke shop, and is calling for public assistance to track down the suspect. The crime took place on the evening of Sunday, November 9, when a man entered the establishment pretending to be a customer before committing the robbery.
According to an official press release from the Houston Police Department's Robbery Division, the suspect approached the counter at approximately 9:05 pm, produced a handgun from his waistband, and demanded the cashier hand over the money from the register. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect also seized merchandise from the shop before fleeing the scene. The location of the crime was specified as the 1900 block of East TC Jester in Houston, Texas.
Authorities have described the suspect as a black male in his 20s, around 5'9" tall, with the last known attire being a gray hoodie, black pants, and gray shoes. However, his identity remains unknown at this time, and the direction in which he fled has not been determined. Houston PD's case number assigned to this incident is #1473508-25.
The Houston Police Department's Robbery Division is now reaching out to the public, urging anyone with information to come forward.
