
On Thursday morning, Houston police officers R. Kloeppel and M. Spinks were involved in a shooting that left a 33-year-old armed suspect critically wounded. The incident began during a routine traffic stop on Antione Drive, where the driver, wanted on a felony warrant, fled and crashed his vehicle near West 34th Street, according to the City of Houston.
The suspect then ran on foot, armed, prompting a pursuit that ended in a parking lot at 5828 West 34th Street, where he fired at officers first. No officers were injured, and the suspect was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, as reported by the City of Houston.
