A significant collision on Interstate 4 in Osceola County involving a jackknifed tractor-trailer and a Mercedes caused major delays for motorists last night. According to ClickOrlando, the incident occurred near mile marker 62 at World Drive around 9:22 p.m. The tractor-trailer, traveling east in the inside lane, jackknifed before colliding with the inside shoulder concrete wall barrier, which then impacted the Mercedes traveling in the opposing direction.
The collision resulted in roadblocks in the inside and inside center lanes in both directions. Despite the hindrance, the outside lanes for eastbound and westbound traffic remained open. Florida Highway Patrol has been on the scene, and while the semi's driver was unharmed and stayed at the scene, the individuals in the Mercedes were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
