Starting December 22, the Kaua‘i Bus will reopen its permanent bus stops at the Kīlauea Food Mart for Route 500 (Līhu‘e to Hanalei) and Route 400 (Hanalei to Līhu‘e), replacing the temporary stop at Kolo Road and Kīlauea Road. The change is intended to streamline transit service in the area.
The County of Kauaʻi advises riders to adjust their plans for the updated bus stops. The Kaua‘i Bus administration encourages passengers to use the new pick-up and drop-off points to avoid travel disruptions, and the temporary stops will be permanently removed.
The bus stops are located along a key route connecting Līhu‘e and Hanalei. The reopening of these stops is intended to provide reliable and convenient service for residents and visitors, improving access to public transportation and the overall travel experience.
