
A traffic incident involving broken glass on Interstate 15 caused significant congestion in North Las Vegas this morning, with the southbound lanes at Cheyenne Avenue temporarily shut down.
According to FOX5 Vegas, Nevada State Police were on the scene by 7:56 a.m. to address the issue, while the Nevada Department of Transportation worked to clear the debris. Authorities closed the right lanes, and it took nearly two hours to reopen them at 9:45 a.m., with no crashes reported in connection to the incident.
Frustrated commuters faced diversions and slowdowns as the Regional Transportation Commission guided traffic around the affected section of the freeway. As reported by 8 News Now, the cleanup was completed and normal traffic resumed around 9:30 a.m., offering welcome relief to those caught in the delay.
