A man died in a shed fire in north Houston on Wednesday night. Firefighters from the Westfield Fire Department responded to a home at 5106 Collins Street around 11 p.m. His identity and the exact cause of death have not been released, as reported by Click2Houston.
KHOU reported an elderly man was found dead in a burning shed at a north Harris County warehouse. Firefighters, alerted by neighbors about a possible trapped person, discovered the man had already died when they arrived, said Captain S. Douglas of the Westfield Fire Department.
The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. Initial assessments indicate the man likely died from the blaze. Authorities are continuing to examine the incident along with other recent fires in the area.
