In a social media post, Animal Care & Protective Services (ACPS) reported the success of their #ClearTheCages event last month. A total of 600 dogs and cats were adopted, exceeding the original goal of 450. The event included community partnerships across Duval to support future outreach efforts.
On a Facebook post, ACPS thanked local events and businesses that supported the adoption drive. Porchfest, Paws on the Porch, and the Riverside Arts Market provided opportunities to showcase animals. ACPS also partnered with the La Villa Fall Festival, Veterans United Craft Brewery, and set up a spot at the Jacksonville Jaguars stadium to connect with community members.
ACPS credited its volunteers and staff for their work in supporting the shelter’s mission. The post noted that community involvement is central to their efforts, with events like Petesgiving and the Pet Supplies Plus Barksgiving helping extend the adoption campaign.
