
The City of Kannapolis recently recognized a new group of residents who completed the Kannapolis 101 Academy. Over the nine-week program, participants learned about city operations, including public safety, finance, and community services.
At a recent City Council meeting, the Kannapolis 101 Academy graduates were acknowledged for completing the program and gaining insight into city governance. The academy provided participants with firsthand exposure to how city departments, including police and fire, operate. This year’s graduating class includes residents from diverse backgrounds, such as Aaron Tallman, Ann Marie Smith, and Bonita Richardson.
The City of Kannapolis stated that the academy’s curriculum provides residents with an in-depth look at municipal operations, covering topics such as budgeting, park management, and public safety.
The Kannapolis 101 Academy, which provides residents with an overview of city operations, has graduated its latest class, including Jailene Lopez, James Haney, and Jamie Richardson.
