In an effort to modernize how citizens handle their monthly expenses, the City of Kannapolis Customer Service Department has rolled out a sleek new online payment portal aimed at utility bill management. As reported on the City of Kannapolis official website, the portal promises to streamline the process by which residents can keep track of their accounts, view payment alerts, and access monthly usage statistics.
For the city's current utility customers, the transition has been designed to be disruption-free. According to the City of Kannapolis aforementioned announcement, users can skip re-registering by using the "forgot password" option to set a new password. Despite required to reset their passwords, customers will find their accounts intact - with the same number, username, and linked email address - just as they left them in the previous system. Notably, those who have already been using autopay to handle their bills won't have to go through the process of re-enrolling in the service.
It's important to note that the launch does not impact payment preferences for all. Customers who still favor the tactile feel of cash over digital transactions have the option of using bill payment kiosks, with several available for use around City Hall. Also, the environmentally conscious who previously opted for paperless billing are assured that they will continue to receive e-bill documents without interruption.
Furthermore, residents can rest easy when it comes to their bill payment schedule. The dates set for utility payments will stay consistent with past schedules.
