
Authorities in Kaua‘i have arrested 29-year-old Charles Aban in connection with about 25 vehicle break-ins at local trailheads in the Kapa‘a area. The arrest last Friday followed an active warrant for Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree and Criminal Property Damage in the Second Degree, with bail set at $320,000, according to the County of Kauai.
The Kaua‘i Police Department and Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement worked together on the operation. Their efforts address the recent increase in vehicle burglaries and the concerns of the local community, as reported by the County of Kauai.
