
The Housing Agency is accepting proposals for its Homeless Program grants, according to the County’s Homeless Support webpage. The initiative, guided by the November 2025 Five-Year Homeless Strategic Plan, aims to fund services for individuals without shelter. Local organizations must submit proposals by January 30, according to Kauai County.
Grant proposals must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. as a PDF to [email protected]; mailed or faxed applications are not accepted. Applicants will be notified of funding decisions in mid-February, with projects funded from March 2026 through February 2027.
The Kauai County Housing Agency will host informational webinars on January 6 and 12 at 10 a.m. to explain the application process and selection criteria. Applicants can also submit questions via email until January 15, with responses posted on the agency's website.
Questions about the initiative can be sent to the grant application email by 4 p.m. on January 15. Applicants needing accommodations, such as ASL interpreters or alternative formats, should contact Farah Aquino promptly. The agency emphasizes its commitment to accessibility.
