As detailed in a social media post from Keller Public Safety, this complimentary service is in operation now until Wednesday, Dec. 24. Those interested in utilizing the service are prompted to use their legal name when placing orders and set the delivery address to the Keller Police Station at 330 Rufe Snow Dr. When the time comes to retrieve these treasures, a photo ID will be the key to unlock their safe passage back home.
But the service does come with a couple of caveats. The conscientious officers handling these precious parcels advise against sending anything over 50 lbs. Secondly, and quite importantly for the smooth retrieval of your items, the name appearing on the ID must match the name on the package label. This ensures that gifts end up in the right hands - a safeguard that maintains the integrity and the cheer of the holiday season.
The program isn't just for the weekday shoppers. Pickups are available six days a week, accommodating the chaotic schedules the holidays often impose. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays offer pickup from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays provide an extended evening window from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays welcome early birds from 9 a.m. to noon. These generous hours reflect the department's commitment to serving and protecting, even against the tiniest of holiday-time capers.
