Efforts to maintain community safety in Kenner recently culminated in the capture of a wanted individual, highlighting the benefits of governmental partnership. In a social media update from the Kenner Police Department, authorities expressed appreciation to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for their role in detaining a Cuban national with a history of violent offenses.

Last Thursday, following Operation Catahoula Crunch, Border Patrol Agents were able to positively identify and to peacefully apprehend Jorge Vierra-Serrano. According to a post by Kenner Police, he was located at a residence on the 1100 block of Lesan Drive and is known for a violent criminal past, including forcible rape and aggravated burglary.

Without the occurrence of any incident, the agents captured Vierra-Serrano at approximately 3:00 PM, subsequently transporting him to an Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) facility. The efficient execution of this operation underscores the importance of interagency cooperation.

Emphasizing this, Kenner Police Chief Conley stated, “I want to thank our federal partners at CBP for their outstanding work. This is another example of how teamwork and information sharing directly enhance the safety of our city.”
