A pedestrian lost her life in Kent last Friday after a collision with an SUV, marking a tragic moment for the community. According to a post by the Kent Police Department, the incident occurred just before 5 pm at the intersection of 108th Avenue SE and SE 224th Street. Responding patrol officers found the victim, an adult female, unconscious and not breathing, immediately initiating CPR until Puget Sound Fire personnel arrived and transported her to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition, where she was later pronounced dead.
As per the initial reports, the 37-year-old woman was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a white SUV traveling southbound on 108th Avenue SE. The woman was not using a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
