
A 55-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run incident on Saturday night in Kent, WA. According to KING 5, the collision occurred just before midnight on State Route 516, near Meeker Street. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) stated that the vehicle, identified as a 2022 Honda Pilot, was traveling eastbound when it struck the pedestrian. Following the collision, the driver did not stop and continued to quickly drive away eastbound. The incident led to SR-516 being closed for around three and a half hours on Sunday morning, as reported by FOX 13 Seattle.
While initially, WSP did not have a description of the suspect's vehicle, further investigation led to the identification of the vehicle model involved in the crash. The reason behind the collision is still under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the hit-and-run to step forward and contact the Washington State Patrol, as per KING 5.
