A 36-year-old man from Keyes, California, Jaspal Singh, was arrested by the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office on charges of lewd acts with a child. The arrest followed an investigation by the Special Victim's Unit. Authorities said Singh had arranged to meet the minor at a high school parking lot at the time of his arrest, as reported by the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office.
Jaspal Singh, held at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, faces charges of lewd acts with a child under fourteen and attempting a sex crime through communication with a minor. He was apprehended in the Pitman High School parking lot by detectives in civilian clothes, and his bail was set at $500,000, as stated by the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office.
During the investigation, Singh confessed to the allegations, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to contact Detective McKee or submit tips anonymously to Stanislaus Area Crime Stoppers.
