Two Kissimmee men face charges following an armed carjacking during what was supposed to be a routine vehicle sale through Facebook Marketplace. According to ClickOrlando, the incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday near Cobblestone Circle and Cobblers Lane, where a 21-year-old individual met with the two suspects to sell his grey BMW 5 Series.
During a test drive, the situation escalated when, after the drive concluded, one of the suspects brandished a firearm and coerced the seller out of his car while they then fled the scene - one commandeering the BMW and the other driving off in a Honda Accord, this according to officials from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. As the victim contacted authorities, law enforcement deployed their chopper and managed to locate both vehicles soon after the carjacking, WESH reported.
Following a spirited chase, which ended with one suspect running through traffic, authorities arrested 20-year-old Jamarri Marquis Howard and 18-year-old Josiah Jermaine Ford, both of whom are local to the area. Ford had a Glock handgun at the time of his arrest. They now face multiple charges, including carjacking with a deadly weapon. Video footage of the ordeal showcases the pursuit and subsequent takedown of the suspects, with these details brought to the public by the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
