
The community in Lancaster is on high alert after two local high school students disappeared earlier this week. Lancaster Police Department is actively searching for 15-year-old Cashmiere Greene, and 16-year-old Aavianna West-Johnson, who were last seen on Monday, Dec. 1, according to reports by QC News and WCNC.
Both students reportedly left Lancaster High School and were spotted near a local Walmart. Greene was last seen donning a red jumpsuit, while West-Johnson wore a white puffy jacket and blue pants – and is distinguishable by her dreadlocks and a nose piercing. "We are working to ensure their safe return home and appreciate the public's assistance in locating these two juveniles," police said in a statement obtained by WCNC.
As of the latest update this morning, December 3, there has been no change in their status. The Lancaster Police Department took to social media, issuing an update and appeal for assistance: "UPDATE: 10:00am - Both juveniles are still missing at this time. We are actively looking for them. If you see them, please call us immediately at 803-283-3313," they posted on their official Facebook page.
While the current mode of travel for the two teenagers remains unknown, authorities believe they are likely still together. Officials and those involved hope for their safe, and swift return and continue to seek help from the public. Anyone with any information regarding their whereabouts is urged to contact the police department at 803-283-3313 or call 911, "We are working to ensure their safe return home and appreciate the public's assistance in locating these two juveniles," stated an official from the Lancaster Police Department.
