
Las Vegas will see continued unsettled weather during the holiday season. According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, light to moderate precipitation is expected today and tomorrow.
The Sierra and White Mountains are expected to receive another round of snow through Friday, according to the National Weather Service. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through 4 p.m. PST Friday, with 2 to 3 feet of snow forecast for the Eastern Sierra. Some areas, including Aspendell, have already recorded up to 18 inches of new snow.
The Spring Mountains are expected to receive 6 to 10 inches of snow in Kyle and Lee Canyons, according to the NWS forecast. Lower elevations may see rainfall as snow levels drop.
The weekend should bring a break from precipitation as the low-pressure system moves east, returning drier conditions. Las Vegas can expect highs in the mid-50s. However, another weather system may affect the area by midweek, according to the National Weather Service.
Air travelers at Harry Reid International may encounter ceilings of 4–5 kft and visibility around 6 SM in heavier downpours. Conditions are expected to improve as showers pass. Observers are encouraged to report any significant weather or impacts.
