A 41-year-old man from Las Vegas was hospitalized with serious injuries following an accident involving his e-scooter yesterday afternoon. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports that the collision with a parked vehicle occurred around 2:34 p.m. on Spring Leaf Drive, as reported by News 3.
The initial investigation shows that the man was heading north on his Niu KQi300X moped when he suddenly veered left and collided with the left front of a legally parked 2006 Honda Odyssey. The impact ejected him from the moped, sending him over the vehicle and causing him to come to a stop on the roadway, as stated by 8 News Now.
The victim was taken by ambulance to UMC Trauma, where his injuries were evaluated and classified as potentially life-threatening. Details of his injuries have not been released.
