
Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot and killed early morning on December 2. Officers responded to reports of gunfire on the 400 block of South 15th Street, near Charleston Boulevard, and found the man with gunshot wounds in a front yard, as detailed by Hoodline.
Last Friday, 31-year-old Jaivone Jackson turned himself in at the Clark County Detention Center and was booked on charges of Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon and Robbery with a Use of a Deadly Weapon, following a shooting that left a victim dead. The victim was transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced deceased, with further details about their identity and the circumstances of the shooting pending from the Clark County Coroner's Office, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Section is handling the ongoing investigation and has asked the public for assistance in gathering information about the incident.
