Lobster lovers in Dallas are getting a new reason to line up near Victory Park. Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls is bringing its first Dallas location to The Union, just a short walk from the American Airlines Center, with a grand-opening celebration set for Saturday (Dec. 13) featuring giveaways and other promos.

Where It Will Be And What They'll Serve

According to Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls, the Dallas shop will be at 2301 N. Akard St., Suite 260, inside The Union building and is currently listed as "Coming Soon." The menu leans hard into split-top New England rolls such as the Classic, Connecticut, Lobster Salad, BLT and the Bar Harbor, along with New England clam chowder, lobster bisque and lobster mac & cheese.

Opening-Day Perks And The Local Operator

As reported by CultureMap Dallas, the franchise is owned by Thu Bui, who discovered the concept on a visit to Mason’s Austin location. CultureMap notes that the brand launched in 2014 and started franchising in 2016. The outlet also reports that next Saturday’s grand opening will feature giveaways, including a drawing for free lobster rolls for a year. Bui told CultureMap, "Just over a year ago, I tasted my first Mason’s Famous Lobster Roll, and I knew that I needed to bring their freshness and quality back home to Dallas."

Chain Background

Mason’s traces its roots to Annapolis, Maryland, where founder Dan Beck created the concept. The brand’s franchise materials emphasize 100% Maine lobster and a New England split-top roll as the company’s calling card. Those same materials highlight a streamlined footprint and fast-casual service model as key reasons the chain has been able to expand into new markets.

How It Fits The Dallas Scene

CultureMap notes that Dallas-area prices for Mason’s rolls are expected to land roughly between $17 and $27, and the chain’s arrival puts it among at least two dedicated lobster-roll concepts now in North Texas. The outlet points out that Phoenix-based Angie’s opened its first North Texas location in Plano in November.

For anyone who cannot make the grand opening, the Dallas outpost is expected to follow the brand’s established takeout and limited-catering model used in other markets, with specific hours and specials to be shared on the store’s local channels.
