The closure was initially announced in a November 17 Facebook post, which stated that the Rittiman location’s last day will be November 30th and thanked patrons for 15 years of your loyalty and patronage, according to MySA. With this location closing, the chain’s total number of restaurants decreases from eight to seven.
After the announced closing date, a reporter visiting the Rittiman location found the restaurant emptied, with a handwritten note on the door, as per MySA. The outlet also reported that calls to the Rittiman phone number were not going through prior to the visit.

Despite the Rittiman location being closed, Longhorn’s official website still lists it among its stores and identifies the nearest open restaurant at 12311 Nacogdoches Road, as reported by Longhorn Cafe. The site’s history and menu sections trace the brand back to a taco stand in the 1950s and list items such as burgers, chicken sandwiches, and chicken-fried steak.
