
Yesterday afternoon, a shooting occurred in the 5800 block of St. Louis Avenue, leaving a 39-year-old man in critical condition. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, District 5 officers responded to the incident shortly after 1:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Around the same time, a man contacted police, stated that he was the shooter, and waited for officers in the 2700 block of Goodfellow. The 30-year-old man was taken into custody. Few additional details were released from the scene, and the case has been assigned to Homicide detectives due to the nature of the injuries involved.
